Regional General Manager Express Distribution Northern Home Counties
Our client is one of the UK's leading express distribution business's, they are currently looking for a Regional General Manager for their Northern Home Counties Region,reporting to the National Operations Director you will be responsible for:
Liaising with employees at all levels, depots across the region, internal departments, external businesses and agencies and general public.


Responsibilities of Position


The responsibility of the role is to develop, achieve and support the short and long term objectives of business, you will continuously strive to focus on added value solutions through dynamic and creative leadership.


You will seek out opportunities in service, the cost to serve and the ultimate delivery performance of the region, and where required, support with specific depot action plans, develop and implement training modules.


At all times offer guidance, training and development to all members of the team, and collate, analyse, and present data in a wide range of formats, from a large variety of sources.


You will support the network through short-term depot management, achieving depot objectives including analysis and change implementation across the region.


Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

General:


  • To identify new opportunities for continuous improvement across the region in terms of quality, service and efficiencies.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Perform adhoc duties as requested by the Director of Operations

Financial:


  • To control cost through planning and review of finance reporting procedures
  • To ensure compliance with financial procedures
  • To carry out annual and period planning
  • To authorize expenditure for operational needs to maintain service levels whilst controlling discretionary spend within guidelines.

Service

  • Achievement of service performance targets.
  • To support the existing customer care process through structured reviews, customer visits and liaison with the Sales Department.
  • To liaise with Central Customer Services in order to resolve customer service issues.
