The job itself:


Young man aged 18 with autism, learning difficulties, speech, and global development delay, requires Personal Assistant to accompany him to activities of his choice.

Requires someone of a similar age if possible, who may also act as a peer/friend.

Enjoys cinema, bowling, crazy golf, or just shopping and visiting museums. Enjoys days out in the community and has recently commenced at the gym and playing tennis.

Requires support and supervision to request tickets for activities support with travel and directions, also road safety awareness.

Main roles and responsibilities are to keep this gentleman safe and ensure he is comfortable in the relationship whilst promoting independence wherever possible.

Hours of work ideally would be half a day/a few hours one day at the weekend and an evening or two evenings during the week to be discussed further and agreed at interview

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
