Description

My client is looking for someone of the highest calibre to join their competitive engineering team to work on technologies used to fuel their progression towards future triumph at the America's Cup Boat Race in 2024.

The role entails the creation, development, and maintenance of a new in-house simulator facility which will serve as one of the primary interfaces between the performance team and the sailing team.

A strong academic background in engineering/mathematicalrelated disciplines.
Experience with either HIL realtime simulation, game physics development, or simulation graphics and VR.
Experience in the creation of code in one or more programming/scripting languages.
A keen appreciation of physics, mechanics, and the coding of such behaviours.
Excellent analytical skills and an ability to process and infer conclusions from simulator data.
The ability to work effectively in small, focused teams whilst working towards strict deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and who are both highly motivated and conscientious.

Within the role itself, your responsibilities would include:

The development and execution of a programme for aligning the simulator fully with the offline simulation toolset.
The development of testing methodology in order to allow sailing team learnings to be fed back into the simulation suite development.
The organisation and supervision of testing sessions so as to support Performance, Design and Fluids groups.
