Wild Water Group is Wales' leading provider of temperature controlled warehousing and distribution services.
Our strong position in Wales has allowed us to expand into England and we have continued our consistent growth despite the pandemic with a cold store network spanning across South Wales and England.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team of Maintenance Operatives in the upkeep of all of our sites.
Location:
based in Aberbargoed, Caerphilly, required to travel across all 8 of our sites in England and Wales - work vehicle provided.
Role aim
To lead and motivate the team, ensuring everyone is working to the best of their ability. To ensure the efficient running of maintenance tasks and implementing operational efficiencies as required.
Role duties
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance, liaising with Site and Senior Managers
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance operatives
- Hire and supervise trade workers during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Taking responsibility for your own health & safety and that of others
- Maintaining compliance with the Group's policies and procedures at all times
- Flexible with an ability to work extra hours when needed
- Maintaining confidentiality and observing data protection and associated guidance where appropriate
- Full and valid driving licence and use of own vehicle

Skills and abilities
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Capable and confident in dealing with competing demands, prioritising effectively
- Understanding of risk management
- Critical thinking and analysis skills
- Comfortable working in a cold store environment
Qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years' experience working in a supervisory or team leader role
- At least 2 years' maintenance and electrical experience and/or knowledge
- Level 2 diploma in Electrical Installation or a level 3 diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (desirable)
