Full time, 37 hours per week, Permanent (Job Share may be considered).

***The Community Protection Unit needs an innovative and 'can do' officer to deliver a range of Community Protection and Environmental Health service through the provision of administrative support.

The Community Protection Unit deals with a full range of Environmental Health and Anti-Social Behaviour issues on a Neighbourhood Area basis both proactively and in response to high level of customer service demand


This includes:

  • Food Hygiene and Standards
  • Trading Standards
  • Animal Health
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Pollution
  • Health & Safety
  • Environmental Protection
  • Private Sector Housing including property licensing
  • Waste and Environmental Crime
  • CCTV


You must be enthusiastic, a good team worker with commitment, flexibility, and with a capability of working on your own initiative.


You will need to demonstrate positive skills in establishing and developing productive working relationships and also deliver against personal and team targets.


A background in administrative and support roles would be an advantage, but is not essential as long the skills outlined in the specification can be met.
