_Do you have a desire to support children who struggle?_

_Are you wanting to work in education but not sure how to get your foot in the door?_

For the role of Behaviour Mentor, you do not need any school-specific qualifications, you could have any of the following backgrounds:

  • Sports Coaching
  • Care Worker
  • Army Cadets
  • Psychology graduate
  • Tutoring children with SEN
  • Youth Worker
  • Any previous experience with special educational needs
  • Previous experience working with children, or young adults, with ASD and complex needs (Voluntary experience welcome)
  • Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEND requirements
  • Good interpersonal and communicational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this)
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children

We are looking for Behaviour Mentors who are:

  • Able to contribute to, and work as part of a team
  • Creative in approach to children's learning
  • Enthusiastic towards inspiring children
  • Happy to carry out personal care
  • Dedicated and caring
  • Able to demonstrate high expectations which are communicated to the child
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to raise selfesteem
  • Compassionate and positive with a flexible approach when supporting the child
