Salary:
National - ranging from £42,500-£47,000 and London from £45,500-£50,000 per annum

The team/ department

The Central Secretariat works with the FCA and PSR Boards and senior executive committees of the FCA.

It is a fast-paced, energising environment that provides an excellent insight into and overview of the day-to-day operation of both organisations and affords the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient decision-making that will shape the future of financial regulation.

What you will be doing (the role)- Providing governance support to one or more of the FCA's senior executive committees and/or the FCA and PSR Boards and committees assisting with agenda and meeting planning, minute-taking and follow up work- Working with key stakeholders, including the Chairs and committee members, to ensure that committees operate effectively- Reviewing and updating procedures to ensure that they are in line with governance best practice- Participating in and leading governance projects- Notifying changes to Companies House records- Keeping up to date with, and providing advice on, governance issues

We support hybrid working which means you will be able to work from home up to 60% of the time over a month with the remainder of your time in one of our three office locations.

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum- Company secretarial and/or governance experience, including supporting boards and senior decision-making committees- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of dealing with people at a senior level- Strong minute-taking experience

Essential- Studying for or Chartered Governance Institute qualified (or equivalent) and/or relevant governance experience- Very strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to adapt style depending on audience- Sound attention to detail - can demonstrate taking pride in work and ensuring it is of the highest standard- Strong organisational, prioritisation and negotiation skills- Discretion and the ability to gain others' trust- Ability to ensure compliance with requirements to maintain and protect information appropriately- An ability to respond positively to change, adopting a flexible approach to new ideas, assignments and approaches- Basic project management skills
