What you'll do
This new pivotal role puts the full gambit of SEO in one place. Responsible for building the strategy, capabilities and results on SEO from a content and technical POV.

Embedded in the product experience team, this role is also responsible for implementing and managing all the technical changes through the IT teams.

You will be our most senior SEO expert within the B2C organisation, responsible for driving best-in-class SEO practices for both technical SEO and content SEO.

Success for this role will mean growing our share of natural search traffic across all our product categories; from Pay Monthly phones to Home Broadband to devices, in addition to working across different brands (Vodafone, VOXI).

We're looking for someone who has deep knowledge of SEO, both Technical SEO and Content SEO, and is able to set the strategy and roadmap for the business, as well as do the doing when this is necessary, given we are a fully in housed team with no agency.

Key Accountabilities:

Step change Vodafone's capability and performance in SEO.
Develop and align on the SEO strategy.
SEO backlog maintenance and delivery.
Ongoing SEO technical recommendations and roadmap.
Analysis and reporting.
SEO traffic target setting.

Who you are

Experience of ownership of SEO and setting the strategy for a large B2C ecommerce company, with high traffic volumes (at least millions of visits a month).
Demonstrable experience in growing natural search traffic.
Deep experience and knowledge in both Technical SEO and Content SEO.
Experience in owning SEO KPIs, and effective reporting of SEO performance to stakeholders across the business.
Strong stakeholder management and engagement, especially in a matrix environment.
Deep understanding of Code, although you don't need to be a coder need to be comfortable with HTML and JavaScript.
Excellent knowledge of SEO Tools.
Proven track record of building teams and capability.
