Objectives of this role
- Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company's internal capacity.
- Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget.
- Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, shape, motivate, and support a small internal team across our project and ecommerce business functions, within a timesensitive and demanding environment, including team & process development plans for direct reports, other internal teams, our approved installer network & clients.
- Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce costs, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service. Must have knowledge of SLA, OLA and OKR
- Partner with crossfunctional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems.
- Oversee Procurement of materials and inventory.
- Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management.
- Accountable for financial sign off for projects expenditure up to £250k
- Must have people management experience, incl team meetings, 121's, PDP and annual reviews.
- A good understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Required skills and qualifications.
- Likely to be an Operations Manager / Project Manager, progressing their career with 35 years of proven success.
- Strong skills in budget development and oversight
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
- Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
- Health and Safety qualifications, plus experience in developing and maintaining ISO quality standards 90001, 14001 and 45001
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field activity.
- Strong IT skills, including professional level Excel experience, Sage200 and Hubspot.
- Familiar with Six Sigma DMAIC, ITIL, Prince / Scrum or similar productivity / Project methodologies / techniques.
- Ability to travel across the UK to support short term projects.
