Objectives of this role

  • Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company's internal capacity.
  • Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget.
  • Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, shape, motivate, and support a small internal team across our project and ecommerce business functions, within a timesensitive and demanding environment, including team & process development plans for direct reports, other internal teams, our approved installer network & clients.
  • Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce costs, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service. Must have knowledge of SLA, OLA and OKR
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems.
  • Oversee Procurement of materials and inventory.
  • Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management.
  • Accountable for financial sign off for projects expenditure up to £250k
  • Must have people management experience, incl team meetings, 121's, PDP and annual reviews.
  • A good understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Required skills and qualifications.

  • Likely to be an Operations Manager / Project Manager, progressing their career with 35 years of proven success.
  • Strong skills in budget development and oversight
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
  • Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
  • Health and Safety qualifications, plus experience in developing and maintaining ISO quality standards 90001, 14001 and 45001

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field activity.
  • Strong IT skills, including professional level Excel experience, Sage200 and Hubspot.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma DMAIC, ITIL, Prince / Scrum or similar productivity / Project methodologies / techniques.
  • Ability to travel across the UK to support short term projects.
