The role


A producer acts as the backbone of any photographic shoot, organising, scheduling, and taking control of all aspects of pre-production.

Responsible for ensuring a shoot goes as smoothly as possible, they possess fortune-teller-like abilities, foreseeing and finding ways to solve potential problems that could arise while on set.

They will book flights, write estimates, and liaise with casting agencies if needed.

A clear communicator with excellent people and leadership skills, they must be confident in delegating roles in order to keep a production on schedule and on budget.


Your goal will be to ensure that studio processes are in place and followed so that visionary and dynamic work is produced to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.


What you can expect to be doing

  • Collaborating with inhouse resources and external partners to produce engaging visual content and coordinating between the two to ensure flawless execution of projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with photographers, set designers and photographic/talent/model agents etc to ensure the highest level of talent
  • Understanding fully, market rates and routinely negotiating the best rates possible with photographers, agents, and agencies
  • Working on set with directors and account teams to manage the full shoot with authority and react accordingly to potential curveballs that can be expected in production
  • Work with the creative director to agree deliverables and produce shot list / check list of requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the creative output, ensuring client's style guide standards are being met.
  • Research and recce any potential locations, manage all negotiations, and lead on communication and organisation of locations with the owners/suppliers as needed.
  • Be proficient in all areas of Production, providing onset back up as needed

What we'd like to see from you:

  • Depth of experience in shoot production with high calibre talent and artist portfolio
  • Discreet and professional with excellent communications and networking skills
  • Great relationships with top tier photographers, talent/photographer agents
  • Experience working with talent on and off set, and managing direct relationships with their agents and representatives
  • Creatively minded but also meticulous attention to detail for financial and shoot documentation
  • Confident and experienced at production campaigns of various budgets and to various timelines
  • Capability to produce location and studio shoots
  • Leading on accurately scoping budgets, creative and production executions and timelines for video and stills shoots ensuring the feasibility of all requests for proposals
  • Maintain current knowledge of video & photo production, editing software and marketing trends through selfstudy and continuing education programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of common digital capture platforms, various lighting environments, photography equipment and best practices/conventions for set safety
  • An organisational whizz with a pragmatic mind, can prioritise tasks, use initiative and selftime management
  • Processes understanding of typical key milestones and timings
  • Workflows understanding of basic stills and photography workflows, how they are impacted based on typical changes, how they are impacted when new elements are introduced such as the addition of motion alongside stills
  • Budget management multiple largescale projects
  • Good negotiation skills able to consider budget limitations from the agency
