We are looking for a Patient and Public Involvement Lead to join the Trust's busy and dynamic Patient Experience and Involvement Team.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong and demonstrable record of enabling patient-public participation.

Most importantly, you must have a demonstrable commitment to placing the voices of patients, their families and carers, and communities at the centre of the Trust's service delivery and development and will be an internal and external ambassador for public, patient and carer involvement and engagement.


The Patient and Public Engagement Manager is a key member of the Patient Experience and Involvement team, working closely with the Head of Patient Experience and Involvement in setting the strategic direction of patient and public engagement across the Trust.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for meaningful involvement and engagement of patients, carers and the public to ensure that the Trust is actively listening to and learning from patient and carer experience.


The post holder will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills, experience of working on complex projects with multiple partners and be comfortable with working at pace.


As the lead for the Trust's volunteer services, they make a direct impact on the quality of patient experience delivered by the Trust.


They will lead a small patient and public involvement and engagement team who deliver a variety of involvement and engagement activities, including but not limited to supporting focus groups, engagement events, developing, implementing and analysing surveys, ensuring that communications are written in plain English.


The post holder will ensure that the Trust develops methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives to grow involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved communities to support the delivery of the organisation's health inequalities priorities.


Reporting to Head of Patient Experience and Involvement, this is a key role that is integral to ensuring the patient, carer and public voice is embedded in our work.


The Trust is committed to meaningful involvement and engagement where patients and the public are actively involved in shaping our work and decision-making.


The role works across the Trust so the successful applicant will be required to regularly travel to our different sites.
