We're looking for Drainage Maintenance Apprentices to join our Highways team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

Within this role, you will be gaining a recognised qualification and can gain your HGV licence in time during your apprenticeship.

The Role:


As a Drainage Maintenance Apprentice, you'll be working within the Kier Highways team, supporting them in keeping the highway network safe.


Your day to day will include:

  • Carrying out all types of drainage works
  • Reactive unblocks, preplanned maintenance and servicing
  • Using a handheld device to record your daily tasks
  • Be part of a 2person team working collaboratively to ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Participating in out of hours incident response as well as in time winter service duties


You will also study for a Level 2 Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative qualification with support from our experienced teams - giving you the practical skills and expertise to excel in your career and the opportunity to progress within the company.
