My client, a dynamic and progressive award winning company based in Loughton, is looking for a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a new role due to company growth and is a fantastic opportunity for someonewho is looking for a career within a progressive business.
Responsibilities include:
- Booking transport for international and UK shipments
- Managing imports and customs clearance arrangements
- Liaising with accounts regarding VAT or Duty payments
- Managing and updating the contracts calendar
- Managing weekly import and sales schedules
- Obtaining commercial rates from suppliers of transport services, ensuring the carriers are licensed to carry goods and that the carriers used are reliable and responsible operators
- Liaising with the Shipping & Contracts Manager to have clarity in scheduling of deliveries to ensure these are on time, meeting the delivery requirements of contracts
- Sending all documentation to customers and relevant parties
- Managing communication and relationships with all freight forwarders, customs and external warehouses
- Sending shipment and invoice documentation to customers for every delivery in a timely manner
- Maintaining list of Harmonized Tariff Codes and ensuring correct rates of duty are applied to imports or exports
- Managing the POD schedule and ensuring POD's are received from all customers
