Job:
Full Time Kitchen Assistant

Hours:
Monday - Sunday ( 2 days off - rolling rota) - 8am-2pm

Main cook in Kitchen plus suppers twice a week

Pay Rate:
£11.44 per hour

Main Tasks:

1 To participate in the production of nourishing and well cook home made meals

2 To assist the cook to ensure stock levels are maintained.

3 To assist the cook to ensure that all statutory regulations are met.

Primary Responsibilities
1 To assist in the production of wholesome balance meals in line with dietary needs of residents.

2 To assist in the maintenance of stock levels and preparation of food orders.

3 To assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the kitchen by taking an active role in the cleaning, this includes cleaning of all kitchen equipment, cutlery used and the extractor fan.

4 To ensure the safety of yourself and others as required under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Food Safety Act 1990 and subsequent regulations.

5 To ensure that preparation of food is in line with Food Safety and hygiene standards.

6 Participation with store deliveries, preparation of meals, cleaning and washing up

7 To undertake any training as necessary in line with requirements

8 To complete weekly hygiene, temperature and cleaning records.

9 To report safety and food hazards.

10 To make a positive contribution at staff meetings.

11 To ensure that all company property is kept well maintained.

12 To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Cook/Manager.

Salary:
£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
