We are currently seeking an expert individual to join this team in the role of Head of Lending Finance, UK Wealth and Personal Banking.
The Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) UK Finance team is part of the Global Finance function and supports the WPB UK line of business.
This role reports to the WPB CFO UK.
In this role, you will:
- This is a key business and finance leadership role that is focused on business partnering and driving business performance, providing finance stewardship, controllership governance and oversight, and contributing to the formation of business strategy;
- You will be a strategic partner, driving execution towards delivery of the business strategy and goals, providing strategic financial leadership on issues affecting the business;
- Responsible for the financial health of the business, identifying and mitigating financial risks and working with various stakeholders to create an indepth picture of the finances;
- Provide dedicated advisory services to the Mortgage and Unsecured Lending business stakeholders in WPB UK;
- You will lead a team of Finance Business Partners and will be required to collaborate with other functional and business teams in delivery of the above purpose.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Treasury experience or experience managing an Asset book preferable;
- Ability to bring the numbers to life and to "tell a story";
- Strategic, analytical and commercially minded;
- Experience of managing, engaging, leading and motivating a team;
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority).
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience;
