Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist in inpatient services for Older Adults.

Laurel ward is a 13 bedded unit for older people experiencing an acute phase of psychological distress and/or mental illness.

This post is fixed term for 12 months and will provide the opportunity for the post holder to work in an inpatient acute setting and carry out neuropsychological and structured psychological assessment interviews, psychometric testing and be involved in group work, alongside nursing staff.

There is weekly supervision from the Consultant Psychologist and opportunities to gain valuable experience in acute care for those interested in a career in Clinical Psychology.
