This permanent Accounts Assistant role is based in Peterborough for a new media and internet company who pride themselves on offering a stable and supportive working environment.

Great Peterborough based new media and internet company who offer their staff an incredibly stable working environment, with a supportive management team this permanent Accounts Assistant role is working in a fun and friendly finance team.

With parking onsite this role is site based at their companies offices where their staff enjoy the culture that's been created

Description
Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities;

Accounts Payable, receivable and banking functions, processing supplier Invoices and payments and transferring them to the banking platform
Processing and matching against invoices all bank transactions daily
Processing of timely payment runs for Suppliers. employees and Intercompany
Processing of ad hoc payments and direct debits
Month end closing of AP / Banks ensuring deadlines are met.
Production of all Bank statements and reconciliation to GL
Continuous improvement of the processes
Participate in ad hoc tasks and projects where required

Profile
Accounts Assistant experience and characteristics;

Previous AP & AR experience
Understands Basic Accounting principles
Experience working in a finance environment
Provide support on Month End deadlines to Management Accountant
Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve whilst working under pressure
Ability to handle detailed information/data accurately
Ability to communicate with all levels of the business
Organised, proactive, process orientated, and deadline driven
