ThisTraining Officer role is for someone who enjoys people development. Good communication, IT and attention to detail are required. This Training Officer job is a fixed term contract for the period of 12 months.
You will need experience in training and development from either a rail or construction background, OR have transferable skills from other L&D work you have undertaken.
You would need to be a great communicator with strong IT and attention to detail skills and knowledge and experience in training & development in construction or rail industries or have transferable skills from a previous L&D functioning team.
The dynamic training team of our client cover all aspects of the training cycle and you will be expected to fully immerse in all aspects of the work.
The role will mainly be based in our client's head office in Leeds, but will also require occasional travel to their Sheffield office as required.
Skills and duties as a Training Officer:
- Be fully conversant in MS Office to produce a range of spreadsheets, documents and presentations, as required
- Be comfortable in managing and delivering training
- Customer and supply chain support / enquiries
- Update competency records of employees, monitoring expiry dates, sending reminders and training invitations to staff
- Produce training data and information for inclusion in the board reports

Requirements as a Training Officer:
- Prior experience in a similar role and ideally with experience of delivering training in a construction environment would be desirable, or you will have transferrable skills from another area of Learning and Development
- Strong communication skills
- An organised approach to work and a positive, proactive attitude
- Be full conversant in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- The role will require some travel between offices based in Leeds and Sheffield, so the ability to commute between these two locations is essential

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
