Manufacturing Team Leader:

**Birmingham

  • Edgbaston office base**We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Team Leader based in Birmingham UK to ensure manufacturing work streams are functioning in all areas of production, whilst ensuring a safe and organised workplace, high quality output and that the plan needs are met at optimal cost.


Part of the Speciality Diagnostic Group (SDG) Division, the Protein Diagnostic (PDX), Reagent manufacturing team, produce our range of reagents for our innovative tests used for the detection of cancers and immune disorders.


The role:


  • Drive safety culture and maintain 5S standards
  • Report near misses and ensure all relevant PPE is being worn
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure all product is of the highest quality following cGMP and work instructions
  • Demonstrate role model leadership, ensuring accountability and good performance management for all in the team.
  • Conducting training of team members to improve their potential.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance
  • Effective management of people issues including absence and capability issues
  • Perform quality audits tours
  • Perform investigations of equipment, errors, people, quality and safety
  • Maintain effective communication at all levels via formal/ informal meetings, briefings and visual aids, including delivery of Tier meetings.

The person:


  • Supervisory and people management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with quality systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and production.
