Working Hours:
Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm


Available positions: 1


Salary:
£375 to £435 per week


Required Qualification:
Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)


About the school
A 'good' rated two-form entry primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6) are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant.

The role will begin in March 2024 and is expected to finish at Easter in 2024 but could be extended through to August 2024.

The school is located a two-minute drive out of Ashton-under-Lyne town centre.

There are excellent transport links for those who use public transport, making commuting comfortable and ample parking spaces for those that commute via car.


Main Responsibilities

  • Preparing and organising classroom resources and displays, including lesson materials for lessons.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities including some of those listed above.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour by following the school's behaviour policy and providing a safe and exciting learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and development and report these to the class teacher when required.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:


  • MUST have a minimum level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
  • Have a positive attitude towards supporting children in the classroom.
  • Be proactive in the classroom.
  • Have good behaviour management skills.
