We are looking for an ambitious and talented Marketing Assistant to support our Charity's Marketing Department with social media, marketing and events.


Key Responsibilities
Support the Marketing Department in maintaining the annual Marketing Plan for the Charity.

Act as brand ambassador for the Charity to ensure all communications conform to brand guidelines at all times.


Maintaining, updating and administering the Charity's social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), writing timely and engaging posts and stories - both within Hootsuite and live - to help drive consistent and growing levels of engagement with our customers and stakeholders and online traffic.

Ensuring regular uploading of press releases, new pages, content and blog reads.

Website design, maintenance & updates.

Generating copy, images, video content - and liaising with colleagues and freelancers to generate copy/images/video as needed.

Mailouts and Newsletters

Drafting press releases, reports, blog posts, broadcasts, and web copies.

Researching market trends, demographics, pricing strategies

Organising and hosting promotional events, presentations, and meetings.

  • Have experience within the Catering, Charity Sector or School Meal Provision
  • Have experience in photography or videography
  • Be outgoing and enthusiastic
  • Have a passion for food and nutrition
  • Have marketing qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Have experience in Web Design & Maintenance
  • Be IT literate on multiple marketing platforms
  • Have Excellent Customer Care Skills
  • Be accurate and precise, and be extremely well organised
  • Be flexible
  • Must have a strong appreciation for and knowledge of multiple Social Media platforms
  • Must be a driver and have access to own vehicle due to the mobile nature of the role

The Details:

This role is a part time, permanent role - flexibly looking for around 20hrs per week.

Full Time Earning Salary of £24,000-£25,000 pro-rated to part time hours.
