Description

The Quality Audit Team is part of the Practice Governance & Risk Group which is responsible for managing compliance and risk within the firm.

Part of the Group's remit is to monitor quality in all groups and functions throughout the firm and the evaluation of quality is carried out predominantly by the Quality Audit Team.

All audits carried out by the Quality Audit Team follow the same detailed process. For each audit, one member of the Quality Audit Team will be assigned the role of 'lead auditor'.

The lead auditor will be responsible for the running of the audit, from making the initial contact with the audit sponsor through to delivering the results and agreeing corrective action.


  • Good IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office packages although further training can be given if required

  • The flexibility to travel to other offices as required. This can involve staying away from home. The length of time away from home and regularity will depend upon the requirements of the audit. Travel and staying away from home may also be required for team meetings and strategy days, reviews and appraisals.
  • The team works across all locations and has the flexibility to work both remotely and on site as and when required.

  • Some knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules or previous experience of file handling would be an advantage, but is not necessary.
  • Previous knowledge of auditing is not required as full training will be given although an interest in Quality Management would be required.
