HR Support - Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich - 6-8 week full time positionOur client in Ipswich is seeking a full time HR assistant to assist with their expanding workload. You will be working closely with management, HR managers and employees to ensure smooth running of the business.
This role is primarily working from home, with the need to visit one of our sites for occasional meetings. (These are based in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich).
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm
Enhanced DBS check required
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Advising the Directors on HR matters
- Assisting to write job descriptions for multiple roles within the business
- Managing costs by developing advantageous working relationships
- Managing performance of current employees, both office and field based
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
- Generating reports and data to quantify performance and skills
- Monitor and report any significant absenteeism
- Developing and implementing new processes to help the organisation offer a better workplace for staff
- Management of new employee onboarding
- Attending meetings to provide feedback and ways to improve
- Working closely with our payroll provider.
Key Skills and attributes:
- At least 1 year's experience working or studying in Human Resources
- Ideally a member of a professional body such as CIPD or similar, working towards or with level 5 in HR Management or Business Management (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and good people skills,
- Good verbal, written communication and organisational skills
