Financial Controller |Near Worksop |£60,000 - £70,000 + benefits (hybrid working model)

The Opportunity

Your role reports directly to the Chief Exec (who just happens to be brilliant). Your role is vital - you're the number 1 in finance.

You need to be a hands-on, pragmatic and diligent finance professional, someone with a commercial mindset who can help drive further expansion of the group whilst ensuring risk is well managed, controls are robust and finances are in completely reliableshape.

You'll drill down into costs to ensure the business is ran efficiently and there isn't unnecessary wasteyou'll help provide commercial insights to ensure there is a healthy surplus at year end which can be invested in exciting new sites or services

You'll give the trustees complete peace of mind when it comes to financial control and management.

You'll deliver credible and timely management accounts / MI that allow the group to continue to deliver excellent work and vital services.

It's an organisation with plenty of moving parts (circa £15m turnover) so you need to be someone with a proven track record of supporting a professional SME through change and growth.

You'll be a naturally positive character with a proactive approach to making improvement and solving problems. There's plenty of spinning plates and whilst you don't need to be able to juggle or ride a unicycle you do need to be able to balance projectsalongside the BAU and be able to autonomously manage your time / schedule of deadlines

Required:

CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
Previous success in a smaller group as Financial Controller / Head of Finance.
Ability to overhaul controls and processes to ensure a slick and streamlined routine.
Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders (internal and external).
A hands on approach.
Ability to coach, lead and inspire others.
A professional but down to earth communication style and ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across all areas of the organisation.
