Job Purpose
The Finance Admin Assistant, under the direction of the School Finance Partner for Payroll and Pensions will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operation of the Trust's payroll and pension administration ensuring statutory compliance and in line with the vision and values of Windsor Academy Trust.

Duties and responsibilities
Payroll
- To help and assist with the filing and retrieval of documents relating to the day to day running of the finance department.
- Provide support for monthly payroll checking against expectation for all Trust schools.
- Updating staffing contract information with the Trust's budgeting software.
- Assisting with preparation and processing of monthly payroll journals within the finance system.
Pensions
- Provide support for monthly pension monitoring for both Teachers Pensions (TP) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) to ensure pension contributions and records are correct.
- Assisting with the completion of annual Teachers Pensions End of Year Certificate Return and subsequent audit requirements.
- Assisting with the completion of annual LGPS final statements.
- Coordination of completion of annual LGPS health checks.
- Provision of support for internal pension queries to ensure staff are signposted appropriately.
- Provide support for completion of retirement, ill health retirement and other pension related queries.
- Ensuring pension record keeping is in compliance with relevant regulations including internal systems and external systems such as TP portal and LGPS provider systems.
General
- Contribute to and uphold the vision and values of the Trust.
- Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.
- The post holder is required to be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
- The post holder has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults during the course of their work. This post requires the post holder to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
