Scania Great Britain have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance & Controls to oversee finance operations within our Sales and Marketing departments.

This is a senior leadership position within our organisation, with a core focus on finance, customer relationships and making informed business decisions, leading to increased customer satisfaction and profitability.

Reporting into the UK CFO and supporting the UK Sales Director, you will lead a team to oversee all finance related activities, providing insight, aiding decision-making processes, and supporting the organisation whilst working with the departmental Directors/Stakeholders to maximise the performance of their functions.

Ensuring the correct balance between control and support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Coach lead, coach and oversee the professional development of the department, both individually and corporately.
  • Oversee Business Control lead quantitative and qualitative analytical work to produce business insights and drive sound decision making on key business issues. Coordinate month end, all departmental budgets, projections, and forecasting activities.
  • Accounting & Reporting designing, implementing, and maintaining financial management and reporting systems as well as administrative business processes, to support the effective use of financial resources.
  • Continuous Improvement proactively challenge overall business performance and processes, aid in internal and external audits, and initiate improvement proposals.
  • Communication & Influence able to demonstrate sound business understanding, confidently communicate insights and positively influencing stakeholders, external customers, and the broader business.
