Education:
This will be the post holders key role
  • Preparation and presentation of lectures and interactive practical sessions to all levels of staff in adult and paediatric basic and advanced life support.
  • Preparation and presentation of appropriate training to external agencies.
  • Development of knowledge and teaching skill in paediatric basic & advanced life support.
  • Maintenance of own knowledge and skill in all aspects of resuscitation.
  • Be lead instructor on inhouse and national courses as required.
  • Provide support training in courses allied to resuscitation.

Research & Audit :

  • Support the Trust Resuscitation audits
  • Present resuscitation audit reports to the Resuscitation & Deteriorating Patient Committee if required
  • Participate and assist as appropriate in resuscitation research

Management / General:

  • To attend the Trust Resuscitation & Deteriorating Patient Committee.
  • To represent Resuscitation Officers team as required.
  • Maintain training equipment to appropriate working standard.
  • Maintain knowledge of varieties and suppliers equipment enabling recommendations to Trust staff
