Have you got great communication skills or experience in customer service focused role within contact centre, retail or hospitality and looking to develop your skills? If so, read on.


SSCL is looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor to join their team supporting some of SSCL's largest government clients.

You will support with inbound HR queries over phone and webchat, being the first point of contact for customers to resolve these queries quickly and effectively.

The ability to communicate effectively, with strong written and verbal communication is crucial for this role.

We aren't necessarily looking for a long list of experience but someone who understands what good customer service looks like.

This role is a hybrid working Monday to Friday (no weekends) full time with hours between 8am to 6pm.


What you will be doing:


  • You will be the first point of contact for calls coming from Government Employees discussing all aspects of HR and Payroll.
  • Provide information from the internal database such as "How do I book Annual Leave" or "What is this payment for?" You will also be liaising with specialist HR teams to handle more complex casework queries.
  • Processing the relevant information and call details to ensure right communication and log these details onto SSCLs internal system.
  • Supervise the status of open calls and to progress these calls to ensure that the contracted service levels are met.
  • Discuss escalations to the Team Leaders as appropriate.
  • May provide agreed technical support outside normal working hours (call duty), as required.

What you'll bring:


  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Articulate & able to develop good working relationships with colleagues & clients
  • Able to use initiative & exercise sound judgement.
  • Good Microsoft IT and computer skills

It would be great if you did have:

  • Previous experience working in a Contact Centre environment.
