Hospitality Assistant

Duties and responsibilities

  • To accept and inform the relevant staff about food and beverage requests
  • To set up venues of events, prepare the crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen and putting up decoration, to the expected standard and as directed by the Events team
  • To assist with deliveries and pack up preparation
  • To manage food plating, including arranging and decorating food to enhance its presentation
  • To follow company and site procedures regarding Health and Safety and Food Safety including temperature checks, food labelling and dating, allergen regulations and cleaning schedules at all times, and ensure that all records of such are kept
  • To ensure all areas within kitchen control are clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
  • To work alongside temporary staff (vendors coming onsite) and guide as necessary
  • To inspect equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list
  • To pack up equipment when the event is completed and clearing after events
  • To ensure the correct disposal and storage of all food items as directed by the Events team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of food

Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety Certificate:

  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to perform under stress and excellent multitasking ability
  • Availability to work evenings and early mornings
  • Willingness to perform additional duties when and as needed
  • Wearing and maintaining the prescribed uniform

Working Hours
**Flexible working hours between 7 am to 7 pm
