Vacancy Insight:


Our client is currently looking to recruit for a
passionate and dedicated Room Leader to start as soon as possible
.

If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare
and are eager to step into a Management position or have previous experience as a Room Leader or above, we would love to hear from you A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner* is required to be considered for this role.

Previous Room Leader experience is strongly desirable however not required.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Implement the EYFS curriculum
  • Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum
  • To assist nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment
  • Maintain accurate children's records
  • Assume deputy responsibilities in the absence of the deputy manager if required
  • To supervise staff and students in training
  • Support, mentor and supervise room staff in their daytoday duties
  • To ensure all daily routines are adhered to
  • Ensure records are kept up to date
  • To maintain staff ratios
  • Monitor your teams paperwork including planning and learning journeys on a regular basis
  • To assist in the development and support of other staff members
  • Provide high standards of quality within the nursery
  • To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents
  • Be a key person
  • Remain uptodate with current developments in childcare
  • To lead by example
  • To be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room
  • Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met
  • To reinforce company policies and procedures

Requirements of this Role:


  • Level 3 in Childcare or above
  • Minimum of 1 year previous Room Leader experience preferable
  • Passion to upskill
  • A positive role model to your team
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
