Hours:37hrs**
Contract Type: Temporary for 12 months (various roles available)

Role Purpose:


You will oversee moves, transfers and posting of officers and staff across the force, ensuring consistency and moves are in line with finance regulations and completed in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible for the accuracy, consistency and quality of the workforce data held on the HR system and challenge any deviation from it.


Acting as an internal consultant/ trusted advisor, the role will support the delivery of key workforce planning strategies involving all aspects of workforce planning including the production of effective workforce analysis, reporting and insight to drive management decision.


Key Responsibilities:

Over the next 12 months within this exciting role, you will:

  • Contribute to forecasting and provision of key workforce data.
  • Support the monitoring of the workforce including recruitment and leavers identifying trends and gaps and making recommendations to address these.
  • Work with HR Business partners/BC&I in the rebuild of any districts/departments.
  • Support IS with testing of the system for upgrades, making recommendations and seeking improvements.
  • Ensure ongoing validation a cleansing of data within the systems.
  • Work with the Districts/Departments to ensure moves and transfers are completed in an accurate and timely manner and there is funding behind the post.
  • Work with the Business Analysts to identify enhancements in the reporting process.
  • Continually seek improvements and streamline processes.

Skills and experience:


  • Understanding of data and analytics with an ability to demonstrate to others its impact.
  • Skilled in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, building relationships that are based on trust, working collaboratively and to improve the employee experience and align to the organisation's values.
  • Able to use a range of communication and influencing techniques and methods to successfully negotiate, collaborate and/or effect change.
  • This role may suit people with CIPD level 3, but it is not essential
  • Experience of using data to support the business.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Maintain understanding of the forces priorities and how these link to own work.
  • Maintain professional performance/ business management skills including keeping up to date with new developments in workforce planning standards, policy, and practice.

Field:

This applies to roles that do have a base, however, due to the nature of their duties is required to travel to other locations.

Due to the nature of these roles, they cannot accommodate flexible working from home on a permanent basis.

Hybrid:
Applicable when the work can be undertaken
