Description

The Assistant Management Accountant role is a part qualified position that requires a level of skills and experience to support significant delivery of responsibilities.


It reports to the Management Accountant, but with close working relationships across the team, and in particular also with the Senior Accountant, with respect to financial accounting responsibilities.

Description

  • Accounting activity such as the preparation of all balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation and posting of month and quarter end adjustments across entities / accruals and prepayments adjustments.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register, preparation and posting of depreciation journals.
  • Preparation and posting of monthly internal recharges journals.
  • Assist with review and variance analysis across departmental management reporting.
  • Assist with income recognition, preparing monthly journals to defer and recognise income.
  • Identifying and reporting expenses incurred in line with Hospitality policy.
  • Undertake regular and ongoing quality control review of operational transactions

Profile

  • Previous management accounting experience ideal
  • Minimum AAT Level 4 Qualified, studying for CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of computerised accounting packages and reporting tools
  • Confidence and familiarity with multidimensional accounting software
  • Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, conditional formatting etc.
  • A deep commitment to the values, ethos and mission of the Rhodes Trust.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, complex VAT environment within a charity is desirable but not essential
  • Good interpersonal skills and cando attitude
