Job Description:


Care Assistant responsibilities:


Being a Home Instead Care Assistant is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same With minimum 1 hour care visits and client matching, you have the time to provide high quality, person-focused care.


Duties can include:


  • Companionship ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit.
  • Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework.
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping.
  • Personal care supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.
  • Assisting with administering and prompting of medication.

  • Extra paid travel £10.42 per hour (you are paid to travel between your clients) If you're working you are earning.
  • 30p pm fuel allowance.

Qualifications:

Home Instead will provide you with excellent training to become a confident Care Assistant.

You will need to attend 1 1/2 days in house training, you will also need to complete a small amount of e-Learning at home.

Once ready, you will be shadowing with a senior carer who will make sure you have quality introductions and feel 100% confident before managing the care on a one-to-one basis.

  • Clear Enhanced DBS (upfront payment of £46.40, Home Instead reimburse after 3 months service).
  • Business cover on car insurance. (Access to transportation preferable).
