Description
The CWI Litigator is responsive for effective file handling and client care in pursuing a claim for compensation on the Client's behalf.
A Cavity Wall claim arises when a Client has contracted for cavity wall insulation to be installed in their home.
Either scenario is known to cause:
- Penetrating damp
- Cold spots on walls
- Accumulation of mould spores
- Condensation.
- The claims arising are for rectification costs, redecorating and associated costs and general damages
- Run your own caseload through the litigation process to Trial, ensuring that all claims are up to date and progressed in the correct time frame and according to approved processes
- Taking potential customers through a full claim assessment and fact find over the phone and assessing if they have had a financial loss and if a claim can be made.
- To review incoming information and establish the claim route,
- Establish at the earliest opportunity an entity who a claim can be brought against
- Checking all compliance requirements were on the file, i.e. Research, AML evidence, Terms of Business
- Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as identified
- Be proactive and use initiative when presented with problems or issues
- Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating clients on the progress of their case, costs and answering any queries in a professional manner
- Be proactive in your approach to the role by constantly researching the area of law you practice and keeping up to date with all relevant case law/industry updates
- Working with litigation assistant(s), delegating work to them and supporting and training them to develop their technical ability and assist with their career development
Required
- Excellent technical skills in the field of litigation, an ability to make a considered judgement call and a proven history of meeting and exceeding client expectations.
- Organisational and prioritising skills are also essential to meet the demands of challenging internal and external clients.
- Good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels are essential
Salary:
£30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
