Description

My client is a UK leading business within Manufacturing / FMCG Industry ideally located in North East Leicestershire and therefore accessible from both Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire too.

As part of the companies continued expansion FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant as Management Accountant.

You will be a pro-active and flexible individual who can add some real value to the finance team, working closely with and supporting other key functions, providing accurate, timely and insightful information to various key stakeholders to improve businessperformance.

In this role you will be:

Preparing and reviewing the weekly P/L, including variance analysis to budget and forecasts.
Business Partner key stakeholders (financial and nonfinancial, in particular Operations) ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making, managing financial risks and opportunities.
Preparing daily materials and labour reports and weekly P/L forecasts.
Attending daily materials and labour meetings.
Tracking weekly materials and labour performance and reconciling to monthly GL entries.
General day to day accounting responsibilities: KPI reporting, journal postings, reconciliations etc.

Previous exposure of working within Manufacturing is desirable but not essential
Those that are QBE but have suitable experience will be considered.

Other skills

Advanced MS Excel knowledge (V/H Look Ups, Pivot Tables, Macros) as well as competent in other Microsoft office programmes
Experience with using Power BI would be beneficial
Experience of using accounting systems, with Aurora or Microsoft AX experience being an advantage
