Residential Support Worker, Children Home's

Burnley, Lancashire

Children's Residential Home - Ofsted


Service Users:
Young People aged 6 to 17 with Emotional Behaviour Disorder (EBD)

Home Size:
Maximum occupancy of 3 Young People


Reporting To:
Deputy Manager


Contract Type:
Permanent / Full-Time


Driving:
Full UK Driving Licence Required


Experience required:

The ability to demonstrate you have worked with Young People and or Children within a challenging environment is desirable.


Salary:
Up to £32.4K including sleep-in allowance, with an average of 11 per month


The Home
This Children's Residential Home provides a tranquil and supportive environment for young people facing challenges. The home accommodates a maximum of three young people and boasts a dedicated and established team.

Main Duties:


  • Work collaboratively as a team member to provide young people with various activities, support, care, and guidance using a positive parenting model.
  • Follow guidance from the Team Leader and senior colleagues to ensure the smooth daytoday running of the home, providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the young people in their care.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to shift patterns, accommodating changes to the rota at short notice.
  • Ensure that all risks are safely managed following company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake an indepth quality and bespoke training package.
  • Act as an advocate for the young person using a positive parenting model.
  • Attend staff meetings and actively contribute to the development and improvement of the service model.
