Wexham Park Hospital in Slough is part of the Frimley Park NHS foundation Trust and we are currently seeking Health Care Assistants to join our dedicated General Team.
A Healthcare assistant in operating theatres works as part of the multidisciplinary team. They assist setting up theatres and preparing the theatre and patient for surgery. The HCA assists the theatre practitioners and surgical team during surgical procedures with equipment, instruments and patient care.

Applications are for full time 37.5 hours worked over 3/4 days, doing 07:30 - 19:30 shifts from Monday to Saturday.
- To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- To undertake any necessary housekeeping if required to ensure a suitable
- Participate in providing physical and psychological support to the patient.
- To assist the surgical team with assigned tasks.
- To adhere to policies regarding confidentiality.

Your role will include:
- Preparation of operating theatres for surgery. Setting up equipment, instruments, inputting data onto computers.
- Cleaning and maintaining the theatres and store areas.
- Assisting the theatre practitioners during theatre lists.
- Assisting in the anaesthetic room prior to surgery.
