**What you'll be doing

  • Lead and drive forward the expansion of LGR's universe of matching adjustment eligible investments across residential asset classes (e.g., BuilttoRent, Affordable Housing), both nationally and internationally.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive development of LGRI investing into the residential sector with LGC to ensure focus on pursuing investments that maximise return given LGRI's risk appetite and balance sheet constraints.
  • Take responsibility for the Portfolio Management for the residential portfolio, including
  • Identification of key risk market factors for residential assets and creation of key risk metrics
  • Creation the risk appetite for LGRI on this assets class and management of the portfolio in line with appetite
  • Create the investment framework for residential sector and maximise risk adjusted return under the framework
  • Lead transaction executions in residential asset classes, representing LGRI with third parties/LGC/LGIM as appropriate and working with the Transaction Execution function to ensure appropriate execution, implementation and ongoing monitoring.
  • Work closely with the structuring team to design and optimise balance sheet and funding solutions for residential assets that benefits LGRI new business pricing and own fund generation.
  • Lead on facilitating the development of good relationship with other relevant teams and working practice in Investments. Collaborate with LGC Housing team, LGIM BTR team for overall delivery to ensure L&G brings the best available expertise to assess andtake advantage of new opportunities and manage existing assets.
  • Operate at all times within the Mandates and Risk Limits set by the Business Divisions to ensure appropriate control for the Group and ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are embedded in daytoday operations todeliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
  • To manage direct reports in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, so that the team's business objectives are achieved consistently.

What we're looking for

  • Financial analysis / property markets essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication (ability to write reports/ presentations to a high standard and present these)
  • Proven track record of investing and managing capital invested in residential property transaction
  • Significant experience working in front office of a bank, insurance company, asset manager or advisory boutique mandatory
  • Solvency 2 knowledge beneficial
  • Solid understanding of credit and rating risks and markets with particular focus on property assets
  • Team Management experience beneficial
