Job Summary
Working for a global manufacturing business you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop planning tools to assist in the creation of work schedules
  • Maintain the production schedules to match the order book and internal demands
  • Maximise production schedules to achieve improvements in production efficiency
  • Build short term capacity, resource, and materials plans
  • Maintenance of capacity planning tools across site, to reduce manufacturing leadtimes and ongoing cost reduction.
  • Expedite production schedules where required to meet customer demands.
  • Provide information to sales function to ensure awareness of any deviation to agreed schedules.
  • To create manufacturing paperwork for production where required
  • Monitor bookings daily and report anomalies.
  • Use capacity planning tools to highlight areas of concern in labour and machinery bottlenecks.
  • Improve capacity of planning
  • Work to eliminate and prevent waste at all stages of the production process.
  • Report to the Production Planner any issues which impact on the ability of manufacturing to achieve the plan
  • Highly numerate and have a thorough proven understanding of planning within a manufacturing environment
  • IT literate and have good ERP/MRP knowledge and experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Good problemsolving skills
  • Experience in planning and work schedules
  • A structured approach to working within the areas of responsibility
