Description

We are looking for a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner who is keen to develop skills and experience in an Acute Dietetic Service.

You will be responsible for providing part of the Dietetic Service with the

supervision of a Dietitian to a range of inpatient wards including those at Queens Hospital, Burton-on-Trent, Samuel Johnson hospital, Lichfield and Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Tamworth as well as.


We are a forward-thinking Dietetic Team and are committed to using quality improvement processes to review and improve our services, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our patients.

You will be provided with regular supervision and CPD opportunities.

  • Responsible for an inpatient caseload under the supervision of a Registered dietitian
  • Liaise with members of the MDT regarding the nutritional care of patients on your caseload
  • Provide nutrition education to other healthcare staff


You will work as part of a well-respected Dietetic Team which includes the acute services based at Queens Hospital and Royal Derby Hospital as well as the Community Team in South Derbyshire.

The team at Burton consists of 12 Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioner and Secretary.

Being part of the wider Dietetic Service spanning the three areas gives excellent opportunities for CPD and networking with other members of the Dietetic Team, so you will be well supported within the role.
