We are currently seeking an interim Head of Business Operations to join the Chief Medical and Nurses Directorate within a London based NHS organisation on an ongoing temporary role.
This is a new role within the ICB and therefore requires an experienced,confident, and articulate individual with experience working at Business Manager level within the NHS.
This role supports the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nurse in their shared responsibilities within the ICB and will work across both directorates focusing primarily on the Clinical and Care Professional Leadership work programme whilst providing businesssupport to the Chief Medical Officer.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Setting up a new professional function within the ICB to bring a range of clinical leaders together
- Business management for the CNO and CMO functions including setting up/running meetings, organising calendars, creating annual plans for report deadlines etc.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and induction to include objective settings, professional supervision, appraisals, etc.
- Supporting the CMO and CNO to efficiently deliver their responsibilities internally and externally to include preparation of meetings, delegating appropriately and recording/monitoring actions.
- Occasionally attending meetings on behalf of the CNO and CMO to represent the directorates
- Development of business plans for the CMO and CNO to support their strategic objectives
- Preparing outline bids for funding opportunities
- Working closely with colleagues in other directorates to enable the smooth functioning of the CNO and CMO roles, particularly the relation between the CNO and CMO directorates to enable multiprofessional clinical and care professional leadership to beenacted and developed
Due to the nature of this position, applicants should hold a PRINCE 2 qualification or possess equivalent and demonstrable working experience.
You will have proven experience in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects and be able to design strategiesto ensure the engagement and involvement of essential stakeholders.
