Introduction


An exciting opportunity to begin a career in the railway industry and join TfW join TfW as a Customer Host to work as part of a team responsible for the day to day delivery of a high standard on-board catering service to passengers.

Applicants must be flexible and available to work the shifts required. Our Food & Drink directorate runs a 7-day operation with morning shifts starting as early as 6am. Premier Service Hosts will know the shifts they are rota'd in for at least 3 weeks in advance.


Role responsibilities


You'll offer passengers the on-board trolley service throughout the journey, complying with health and safety protocols at all times to meet customer needs and ensure a high-quality customer service.


You'll be responsible for on-board trolley stock by checking the trolley has enough supply for serving customers prior to the train departing to ensure we can provide the on-board service.


You'll comply with health and safety policies and procedures, safety protocols and briefs by adhering to relevant regulations including COSHH assessments and food hygiene standards to ensure we provide a safe and hygienic on-board service.

You'll need to have:


  • Previous experience of working in a customer focused role.
  • Ability to upsell and promote products to the general public.

Welsh Language Skills
