About the role

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately process weekly wages and monthly salaries (end to end) including pension and RTI update.
  • Analyse payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues.
  • Preparing statutory deductions, attachment orders and other earnings/deductions.
  • Process P60, P11D and P46 submissions.
  • Liaise with HMRC for PAYE queries.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of regulations affecting payroll, ensuring compliance.
  • Providing statistical information for external bodies as required by law.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage benefits and deductions.
  • Prepare reports for finance and management teams.
  • Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve payroll processes.
  • Manage company fleet.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as set by the Finance Director.

What we're looking for

  • Must have end to end payroll experience and knowledge of current HMRC legislation indepth payroll knowledge concerning statutory rates, autoenrolment, year end procedures, benefits in kind and specialist payrolls essential.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such Access SelectPay or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to review and analyse payroll data.
  • Excellent problemsolving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and is a good critical thinker.
  • Self motivated and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite advanced Excel skills (V Lookups and Marcos).

Pay:
£38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
