Trainee Patternmaker - Gloucester

Permanent - £9.50ph

Full time , Monday to Thursday 8-16:45, Friday 8-12:30

  • We are looking for a Trainee Patternmaker to join our Manufacturing Materials team. The role will be based in our Gloucester office and is to start immediately. _

The Role:


  • Maintenance of tools and equipment which includes cleaning and safe storage
  • Constructing patterns and moulds from metal, wood and composite materials from drawings and CAD data
  • Liaising with other departments and eventually suppliers
  • Carrying out day to day production as required, in line with manufacturing instructions
  • Adhere to recommended stock controls as informed by the Pattern shop Manager
  • Assisting in research and development duties when required
  • Programming of CNC machines once trained
  • Visiting sites when required
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping and ensure the working environment is clear of waste on an ongoing basis
  • Reduce waste and ensure all waste materials are disposed of in accordance with company and legislative procedures

The Person:


  • Knowledgeable of composites, woodworking, and metalwork
  • Willing to learn
  • Able to demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively, both as part of a team and autonomously
  • Proficient in clear, written, and verbal communication skills in English
