Horticultural Assistant - Part-Time (Friday/Saturday)


We are looking for a green-fingered Horticultural Assistant to join our team and maintain our reputation for great service and product excellence.


The role is varied and will involve being hands-on with plant care, stock replenishment, merchandising, fabulous product displays, being proactive in advising our customers, helping them to make informed purchases and processing the transactions at the till.

There is also the requirement to deliver the following:

  • Ensuring that our palletised products are always available for purchase.
  • Helping customers with heavy items, product selection and seasonal garden planing.
  • Ensuring that point of sale is present for all products.
  • Providing general housekeeping to both the immediate area of work and the garden centre in general.

Essential Requirements

  • Good allround horticultural knowledge
  • Customer service experience
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Attention to detail and a 'Can Do' attitude
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, adaptable approach
  • Possess excellent communication skills

Desirable

  • Background within a similar environment
  • Good proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Merchandising experience would be an advantage.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
£7.49-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
