We have Digital opportunities within our Energy Retail Business, where we are building the future of energy supply for our 4.8 million household and business customers across the UK.


Our global graduate programme provides you with the unique opportunity to undertake a placement in one of our global Iberdrola locations You could spend several months in Iberdrola in Spain, Avangrid in the USA, or one of our other Iberdrola group locations.

What you'll be doing
The Digital Graduate programme offers the opportunity of three specific types of roles.

Each role will be working in small cross functional product squads alongside product owners, software engineers, test analysts, business analysts and product designers.

As part of our graduate programme, you will be continually supported and rotated between different squads within one of these areas, depending on what area you are working; whether that be Design, Business Analysis or Software engineering you'll gain an excellent understanding of the various objectives of a Digital team.


We have an opportunity for a graduate to join one of the following roles and we'll consider you for the role most appropriate to your degree.


Product Design


Within Product Design, you'll provide support with our products' look and feel, get involved in user experience design as well as assisting with the development of our visual brand identity.

Working closely with other designers, you'll learn how we identify and solve problems on larger scale projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to experience working in a cross functional product squad and to learn about the different roles undertaken by the Lead Product Designer, Tech Leads, Developers and Analysts.


Business Analysis


Working closely with the business stakeholders and Digital Team, you'll play a vital role in identifying opportunity for changes such as business and technology improvements that will further support the growth of the Energy Retail business.

Playing a key part in the transition of the Retail business into a Digital world, you'll provide analysis and recommendations to enhance performance, profitability and customer interaction improvements.

Providing valuable and insightful management information, you'll help shape the future direction of internet business activities for ScottishPower and its family of internet sites.


Software Engineering
Working within Software Engineering, you'll provide support to Energy Retail's Digital Services.

Developing your skills in design and build, you'll benefit from experienced technical mentors who will guide your learning and development as you progress to become a proficient software engineer.

As you continue to build your knowledge and experience, you'll be responsible for delivering information such as product backlog, assisting in technical design and improvements.

And with rotations across multiple technologies and delivery squads, you'll always be learning something new. Surrounded by highly experienced IT professionals, you'll be supported and mentored to achieve a successful career in Software Engineering.
