The main purpose of this role is to manage and motivate the operational team performance to deliver Jaguar Land Rover & EVO deliverables.

Responsible for the adherence to standards and processes, ensuring the highest Quality Standards are achieved and manages the team in problem solving to ensure sustained improvements to business performance.


Event Vehicle Operations (EVO) primary purpose is to deliver Jaguar & Land Rover vehicles, promptly and in optimum condition, to a broad range of Business requirements.

The scale ranges from individual vehicle loans for priority journalists, to fleets of up to 100 vehicles to support New Model Launch Events or significant marketing needs.

The department provides a comprehensive External Events service globally; manages vehicle fleets for internal customers e.g. Press; UK NSC, Photographic, Launch Fleets, and all major Motor Shows. The department also operates a vehicle logistics department which is responsible for all on site vehicle moves, vehicle transportation to and from vehicle dispatch yards and delivery of vehicle to customer and facilities across the UK


WHAT TO EXPECT
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Supervisor of Compound Operations
  • EVO Front of House, receiving of and handing over of vehicles to Customers
  • EVO compound movements including receiving and loading of Vehicle transporters.
  • Incoming Vehicle Quality
  • Audits of compound 30,60, 90day checks
  • Supervisor of EVO transportation
  • HGV vehicle servicing and legislative checks
  • EVO vehicle Logistics
  • Monitor HGV drive legislative requirements, Taco cards Breaks, CPC training.
  • DMS job card creation for all Launch and 2nd use vehicles
  • Responsible for the compliance to Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective action implemented and ensures the team receive appropriate training
  • Produce Health and Safety documentation and ensure the equipment is available at all times in good working order with up to date certification
  • Work on internal and external quality metrics and develop action plans for the continuing achievement and maintenance of quality standards
  • Promote a 'continuous improvement' mindset through raising ideas that will assure quality standards are achieved
  • Work towards the achievement of the Integrated Production System,
  • Ensure unauthorised attendance targets are achieved through disciplined approach to absence management and through strong relationship with the Trade Union to create a single agenda for team morale and management
  • Maintain department records for Audit purposes and to be the main point of contact for all relevant Auditing process
  • Conduct and assure regular maintenance of production tools and equipment according to the schedule and optimise when appropriate to improve work group production efficiency
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
  • Ensuring that the CARS system is up to date on a daily basis with regards to annual leave, sickness, RHA and overtime hours for the team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience


Essential:

  • HGV CPC qualification for compliance to HGV Legislation ( vehicle and person )
  • Strong demonstration of all JLR High Performance Behaviours
  • Good understanding of internal Fleet requirements including Insurance, Warranty, Taxation, ATO's FMS,DF2, Orchestrate and DMS systems
  • Experience of supervising a multiskilled team and multishift operations
  • Analytical, data driven and able to interpret interrogate & analyse data for problem resolution.
  • Strong organisational & planning skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written & oral.
  • Highly motivated with determination to deliver on time and to the required very high standards.
  • Knowledge & experience of Health & Safety, Environmental and COSHH compliance requirements

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures and deliverables
  • Experience of Health and Safety Audits including risk assessments
