Pensions Administrator - Salary c£20,000- £23,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Based - Preston / Home Based Hybrid Role
Our client is a leading UK Pensions Administration provider who are searching for experienced
administrators with good numeracy skills. The role would suit a graduate and would be a good step up as an initial career job.


The role will involve reviewing and analysing pension data and carrying our pension calculations and revisions to update member records, communicating directly with members both verbally and in writing and reporting back to the project sponsor on progress.


Key Responsibilities of the role:


  • Process and check a wide range of work including benefit recalculations and compliance checks
  • Responding to member correspondence relating to the work undertaken within the team, ensuring that service level targets and deadlines are met in these areas
  • Learn or already have a good understanding of current regulations and overriding legislation and to actively maintain up to date knowledge
  • Recognise and support continuous improvement in working practices, processes and procedures, assisting the Team Leader to improve and maintain the integrity and accuracy of the pensions administration system
  • Liaise with clients, customers and third parties maintaining good relationships and obtaining information in respect of the work undertaken on the team
  • Treat information security with the upmost respect, dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential information within Service protocol/guidelines

Key Skills and Experience required:


  • Effective team worker with Strong mathematics skills, ability to undertake manual pensions calculations
  • The ability to proactively plan, manage and review own individual daily high workload
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written at all levels
  • Effective numerical and analytical skills, with proven capability in the use of Word, Excel (to a minimum of intermediate level)
