The ISS network of operating divisions provides high quality facility services designed to maintain the fabric and appearance of buildings. ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors.

The GSS Shared Service centre provides finance and accounting transactional and support services to the ISS UK business units. Core services provide cover accounting (RTR), customer billing, banking and reporting (OTC) and accounts payables activities (PTP). ISS UK are now embarking on the next phase of Finance Transformation following the transition of back-office activities to the UK and will now work to drive process and service delivery stabilisation and improvements along with a wider scope of PTP activity moving into the UK service delivery centre.

Key Responsibilities
***
Day-to-day delivery of all in scope PTP processes, services, and continuous improvement-driven innovation with a clear focus on improving operational performance and value delivered by the PTP team.

Development of a core team to build and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and a focus on service, and incorporation of continuous improvement methodologies across transactional processes and teams in scope.

Managing the design, cut-over and delivery of future-state GSS PTP operations as additional workload passed to GSS.

Onboarding new processes and bringing operational performance up to the legacy level to ensure that each new work package or process is delivered as a reliable, continuously improving service.

Acting as the ISS SME for PTP best practice and service.

Monitoring the delivery of incremental continuous improvements in process and reporting and managing corrective action where necessary.

Professional and personal competencies/qualifications
***
Advantageous: an accounting qualification or equivalent; a Procurement qualification or equivalent.

Experiences:

Significant experience in a shared services management role.

Significant line management experience in a changing, uncertain, intermittent environment.

Demonstrable experience of supporting teams with continuous improvement of core transactional processes.

Excellent working knowledge of processes within Purchase to Pay.

Experience/knowledge of Navision is preferable.

Experience in a similar role within a multi-site business is desirable.

Prior experience of working with an outsourced Finance Shared Service Centre is preferable but not mandatory.
