Project Description:
Bridgend Rough Sleepers Intervention team provides an outreach service and drop-in centre for street homeless people. The team deliver much-needed provisions support and guidance to people that are sleeping rough or vulnerable housed within Bridgend.
Our experienced staff support clients by providing breakfast, hot drinks, sleeping bags, warm clothing, toiletries and help in locating further local provision throughout the day and evening.
We also help to meet their current needs by offering a wide range of advice and by facilitating access to the most appropriate, relevant and often specialist services.
Role Description:
We strive to make sure that the duties you undertake align with your skills, experience and development plans.
In general Support Volunteers will be involved in the following:
- Prepare and offer Humanitarian Aid to Rough Sleepers
- Assisting with completion and submission of paperwork
- Attending team meetings when possible and contributing to team discussions
- To safeguard and promote the best interests of our service users
- Attending training as necessary
